How to Be a MLM Superstar without Losing Your Friends

When you start out as an internet MLM leader armed with the network marketing training you have received, it is but obvious that you are looking forward to generating leads and building a strong downline of distributors. Some ‘experienced’ network marketing gurus might ask you to follow the ‘3 foot rule’ that states that any person within a distance of three feet from you is a potential customer. Not only will it reduce your chances of being a MLM superstar, but if you go and start marketing your MLM system to every stranger you meet, you will end up losing potential friends.

So what can be done to achieve the desired success in your network marketing venture and keep your friends too? There are certain things that often go unnoticed and end up hurting your friends as you are busy being a MLM downline builder. First of all, all of us network marketers should not consider the MLM system as purely a game of numbers. It is a known fact that when you talk to about 100 prospective customers, only 10 would agree to join your system. The earliest people whom you would prefer talking to are your friends. Hence the way you approach these people is very important.

You have to keep in mind that the potential customer, who is also your friend, has her own future plans and certain unfulfilled dreams. He or she is looking at your MLM business opportunity as a means to live those dreams actually. So be considerate and don’t regard the individual as one of your ‘numbers’. He or she has a mind of her own. If you are counting her as a number in the MLM business you own, she will surely find out and stop interacting with you. This is not good for your network marketing success.

The secret to be a MLM superstar is to make the prospects believe that you are willing to assist them in achieving their dreams and goals. Simply training them in the MLM software is not enough; you have to lend a humane touch to it too.

I remember the first time I joined an MLM company, I followed the instructions of my upline and spoke to all my friends and family, it was not good and it is not necessary in todays way of business I would never do that again.

Great Advice. I would say that the internet has made Network Marketing a totally different business. At the end of the day, the more efficient you are in recruiting, the more successful you will be in your Network Marketing Business

Don’t be fooled by the bells and whistles of some “guru’s” website. It’s the content they offer that is far more important!!

Great advice here. Always try to think of things from the other person’s perspective, especially your friends. Listen to Zig Ziglar’s timeless advice, “if you help enough people get what they want, you will have everything you want.”

Being a superstar comes down to having a game plan, discipline, a mentor and persistence. It won’t happen overnight, but it will happen if you get started and never quit.
