There are three major areas that can make or break your success with an online business opportunity:

1) How you feel about the business, the product, and the opportunity personally.

2) Whether the product or service fills a need in a large group of people, or whether the opportunity caters to a small audience.

3) Whether the company that you decide to join up with provides the tools, training, and support you need to grab a hold of real success.

Sort your feelings out – does the product or service offered by the company appeal to you? Keep in mind, almost all online business opportunities require that you use their products or services regularly. So, if you aren’t particularly interested in a product or service, that will give you more reasons to quit when you run into the inevitable obstacles.

Research the industry behind the product or service – are people looking to buy what your potential ‘employer’ sells? While woman-shaped silhouette mud-flaps may appeal to you, or maybe you enjoy creating sequined sweater vests, the markets for these products are unfortunately very small. In somewhat oversimplified terms — the bigger the potential market, the better the online business opportunity.

Does the company help you to achieve success? – once you’ve found a suitable industry and potential company, you need to look into what that company offers to see if they will give you the tools you need to be successful. Especially if you’re an average Joe or Jane like the rest of us, a free replicated website and a “good luck” letter won’t get you very far, and certainly will not help you achieve any level of measured success. Because there are so many programs out there, you can afford to be picky about who you sign up with so that you obtain the best online job that gives you the greatest chance of success with your business.

These three key areas we’ve outlined are exceptionally important when you are looking for the best online job for you. While 2010 will certainly come with its own fair share of challenges, that doesn’t mean that 2010 cannot be your year to realize some of your dreams. Before you sign on the dotted line, take some time, look things through, and really think about the three areas that we’ve listed here today. This new year can be your year, and it just takes some careful consideration and a can-do attitude to take you from where you are today to where you want to be tomorrow.
